I found a Hong Kong restaurant named **Haitian** in **Jordan, Kowloon**, and it appears to be a **Guangdong/Cantonese** restaurant rather than a Haitian one.[2] OpenRice lists it as being about a **4-minute walk from Jordan MTR Exit C2**, which places it in the **Jordan** neighbourhood.[2] For reservations, OpenRice shows **“Phone Reservation,”** which indicates that it **does take reservations by phone**.[2] If you meant a different restaurant called “Haitian” in Hong Kong, I don’t have enough evidence here to identify it confidently.

Asked: “What are the best Cantonese restaurants in Hong Kong? Give me a ranked list of 5 with the restaurant names.”
Here is a ranked list of the 5 best Cantonese restaurants in Hong Kong, representing the pinnacle of traditional technique, innovation, and ingredient quality: 1. **The Chairman (大班樓)** * **Why it’s ranked #1:** Widely recognized as one of the best restaurants in the world (frequently topping the Asia’s 50 Best list), The Chairman redefined Cantonese dining. It foregoes luxury clichés like bird's nest and abalone, focusing instead on hyper-local ingredients, organic produce, and deeply complex, house-made sauces and broths. * **Signature Dish:** Steamed Flowery Crab with Aged Shaoxing Wine, Fragrant Chicken Oil, and Flat Rice Noodles. 2. **Forum Restaurant (富臨飯店)** * **Why it’s ranked #2:** Holding 3 Michelin stars, Forum is an institution of classic Cantonese fine dining. Originally made famous by the late Master Chef Yeung Koon-yat (the "Abalone King"), it continues to set the gold standard for traditional banquet cooking, exceptional sauces, and flawless braising techniques. * **Signature Dish:** Ah Yat Braised Dried Yoshihama Abalone. 3. **Lung King Heen (龍景軒)** * **Why it’s ranked #3:** Located in the Four Seasons Hotel, Lung King Heen made history as the world’s first Cantonese restaurant to be awarded 3 Michelin stars. It remains the gold standard for luxury Cantonese hospitality, harbor views, and arguably the most refined dim sum in the city. * **Signature Dish:** Crispy Roast Pork Belly and Baked Whole Abalone Puff with Diced Chicken. 4. **T’ang Court (唐閣)** * **Why it’s ranked #4:** Situated inside The Langham, this 3-Michelin-starred restaurant is a temple to the golden age of Cantonese culinary art. The dining room feels regal, and the kitchen executes classic, technically demanding dishes with unmatched precision and consistency. * **Signature Dish:** Stir-Fried Fresh Lobster with Spring Onions, Red Onions, and Shallots. 5. **Seventh Son (七福)** * **Why it’s ranked #5:** Seventh Son represents high-end "tycoon-style" Cantonese dining, founded by the seventh son of the legendary Fook Lam Moon dynasty. It is the premier destination for traditional, unapologetically rich, and time-honored dishes that require supreme knife skills and traditional roasting mastery. * **Signature Dish:** Barbecued Whole Suckling Pig and Braised Pork Belly with Preserved Vegetables.

I don't have access to real-time restaurant data, and establishments frequently open, close, or change. For current, accurate recommendations in Jordan (佐敦), Kowloon, I'd suggest: - **OpenRice** (Hong Kong's main review site) - **Google Maps** (search "Cantonese restaurants Jordan Kowloon") - **Zomato** These will show current hours, menus, and recent reviews. The Jordan area has many excellent dim sum and Cantonese spots, so you'll have good options!

Here are 5 well-known Cantonese restaurants in the Jordan area: - Australia Dairy Company - Tang Lung Restaurant - Tsui Hang Village - Kau Kee Restaurant (nearby in Central, but worth noting) - Ho Lee Fook Note: Kau Kee is in Central rather than Jordan itself. For authentic Jordan-district options, you might also consider Teawood or Sang Kee Congee, both popular in the area. Asked: “What are the best Cantonese restaurants in Hong Kong? Give me a ranked list of 5 with the restaurant names.”
Hong Kong’s Cantonese dining scene is incredibly diverse, ranging from decades-old neighborhood institutions to refined Michelin-starred kitchens. This ranked list balances heritage, culinary technique, local acclaim, and distinct dining experiences, prioritizing spots that serve definitive Cantonese cuisine rather than fusion or tourist-focused menus: 1. **Tim Ho Wan (Sham Shui Po Original Branch)** The world’s most affordable Michelin-starred dim sum restaurant, founded by former Lung King Heen dim sum chef Mak Kwai-pui. It is iconic for perfecting classic, no-frills dim sum at accessible prices, with signature dishes including baked BBQ pork buns (flaky, sweet-savory, and oozing with char siu), steamed rice rolls with shrimp, and siu mai. The original Sham Shui Po location retains the most authentic, neighborhood-focused vibe, with long lines that move quickly and a casual, unpretentious atmosphere. 2. **Lung King Heen (Central, Four Seasons Hotel)** A three-Michelin-starred fine dining Cantonese restaurant widely regarded as a global benchmark for refined Cantonese cuisine. Helmed by chef Chan Yan-tak, it is celebrated for its precise execution of luxury dishes, including braised abalone with goose web, crispy roasted suckling pig, and its legendary har gow (shrimp dumplings) with translucent, paper-thin wrappers. The dining room offers panoramic views of Victoria Harbour, making it a top choice for special occasions while remaining rooted in classic Cantonese flavor profiles rather than gimmicky fusion. 3. **Yat Lok Restaurant (Central)** A beloved 50-year-old neighborhood institution famous for its roast goose, considered by many locals to be the best in Hong Kong. Its signature roast goose has crispy, shattery skin and juicy, deeply flavorful meat, seasoned with a secret blend of spices and served with a side of sweet plum sauce. The casual, no-frills space also serves excellent char siu, siu yuk (roast pork belly), and classic Cantonese congee, and it has earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand award for its high quality at reasonable prices. 4. **The Chairman (Central)** A one-Michelin-starred restaurant that reimagines traditional Cantonese home-style cooking with premium, seasonal ingredients, without straying from core Cantonese flavors. Its most famous dish is steamed flower crab with aged Shaoxing wine and chicken fat, a delicate, aromatic take on a classic coastal Cantonese preparation. The menu changes regularly to highlight fresh seafood, heirloom vegetables, and preserved ingredients (like aged tangerine peel) that are staples of Cantonese culinary heritage, and it prioritizes sourcing from local farms and fisheries. 5. **Lin Heung Kui (Central)** A historic dim sum teahouse dating back to 1928, one of the last remaining places in Hong Kong to experience traditional push-cart dim sum service. It is famous for its nostalgic, old-school atmosphere and classic dishes that are hard to find at modern dim sum spots, including lotus seed paste buns, siu mai with quail egg, and beef meatballs with water chestnut. The lively, communal dining room and traditional tea service (with servers pouring jasmine or chrysanthemum tea from long-spouted kettles) make it a cultural experience as much as a culinary one, beloved by both long-time locals and visitors seeking an authentic taste of old Hong Kong.
