Asked about you by name, Perplexity said:Named you
**Genki Sushi** is a **Japanese** conveyor-belt sushi chain, so its cuisine is mainly **sushi and sashimi**, with other Japanese items like hand rolls, udon, tempura, and desserts also commonly on the menu.[2][6][14] For **“Genki Sushi (Wong Tai Sin),”** I don’t have a source in the results that confirms a specific Wong Tai Sin branch or its exact details, so I can’t verify that location with confidence. What I can say is that Genki Sushi in Hong Kong is generally a Japanese sushi chain found in many neighbourhoods across the city.[7][18][19] On **reservations**, the results do **not clearly show** whether the Wong Tai Sin branch takes them. The available Hong Kong Genki Sushi pages mostly show chain listings, hours, or takeaway/order information rather than a confirmed reservation policy for that specific branch.[4][7][8] If you want, I can help identify the exact **Wong Tai Sin** outlet and check its menu, hours, and reservation policy from more specific sources.

Asked: “What are the best Sushi restaurants in Hong Kong? Give me a ranked list of 5 with the restaurant names.”
Hong Kong has one of the world’s most dynamic sushi scenes, with a mix of Michelin-starred omakase spots, hidden neighborhood counters, and accessible high-quality options. Below is a ranked list of 5 standout restaurants, evaluated based on ingredient quality, chef skill, consistency, and overall experience: 1. **Sushi Saito (8½ Otto e Mezzo Sushi Saito)** Widely regarded as the best sushi restaurant in Hong Kong, this is the only overseas outpost of Tokyo’s 3-Michelin-starred Sushi Saito (run by legendary chef Takashi Saito). It holds 3 Michelin stars in Hong Kong, and the 10-seat counter at the Four Seasons Hotel serves a hyper-seasonal edomae-style omakase, with fish sourced directly from Tokyo’s Toyosu Market and other premium global suppliers. The chef’s precise technique, attention to detail (from rice temperature to vinegar balance), and personalized service make it a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It is extremely exclusive, with reservations often booked months in advance. 2. **Sushi Shikon** A 3-Michelin-starred edomae sushi institution, Sushi Shikon is the Hong Kong outpost of Tokyo’s Sushi Yoshitake, led by chef Yoshitake Masahiro and his protégé, local head chef Kwan Ming Ki. The 12-seat counter in Sheung Wan serves a meticulously curated omakase that balances traditional edomae techniques with subtle local touches (such as occasional use of premium local seafood). Standouts include the signature uni and marinated tuna belly, and the rice is seasoned to complement each piece of fish perfectly. It is known for its consistent excellence and warm, intimate service. 3. **Sushi Ono** A 2-Michelin-starred hidden gem in Central, Sushi Ono is led by chef Masahiro Ono, who honed his craft at Tokyo’s renowned Sushi Kanesaka. The tiny 8-seat counter serves a classic edomae omakase that prioritizes simplicity and ingredient purity, with most fish flown in daily from Toyosu Market. Chef Ono’s signature is his perfectly balanced sushi rice (seasoned with red vinegar) and his ability to highlight the natural flavor of each fish, with minimal seasoning or garnish. It is a favorite among sushi purists, with a more relaxed vibe than the top-tier 3-star spots. 4. **Sushi Tokami** A 2-Michelin-starred edomae sushi spot in Tsim Sha Tsui, Sushi Tokami is the overseas outpost of Tokyo’s Sushi Tokami, led by chef Hiroki Akamatsu. It is famous for its innovative take on traditional edomae, including its signature "aged tuna" (tuna that is dry-aged for 10–14 days to deepen its umami flavor) and its use of red vinegar from a 200-year-old Japanese brewery for the rice. The 10-seat counter serves a generous omakase, with a mix of classic and creative pieces, and the chef is known for his friendly, approachable demeanor and willingness to explain each dish to guests. 5. **Sushi Mori** A beloved neighborhood favorite in Causeway Bay with 1 Michelin star, Sushi Mori is led by chef Mori Masataka, who has over 30 years of experience making sushi in Hong Kong. The 15-seat counter serves a high-quality edomae omakase at a more accessible price point than the top-tier spots, with a mix of premium Toyosu-sourced fish and occasional local seafood (such as wild Hong Kong shrimp). Chef Mori is known for his warm, personal service, and his ability to cater to guests’ preferences, making it a great option for both sushi newcomers and seasoned fans looking for a reliable, enjoyable meal. Note: All of these restaurants require advance reservations, especially the 3-star spots, which can book up 2–3 months ahead. Omakase prices range from ~HK$1,500 per person at Sushi Mori to ~HK$4,000+ per person at Sushi Saito.
